Job Summary:
Works under the supervision of the Supply Chain Operations Director and Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, and Supply Chain Operations Supervisor. Responsible for accomplishing department goals related to supply delivery using conventional delivery tools such as hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks etc., in conjunction with the hospital's delivery box truck. Deliveries may be throughout the healthcare system including outlying campuses and offices as needed. This position requires daily vehicle inspection when in use as well as maintaining trip logs and fueling the trucks. This position may work in conjunction with other departments as needed to facilitate movement of equipment or supplies at the request of the Director or either Supervisor. Any driver operating an Erlanger vehicle is required to report any accidents, violations of policy, safety hazards or unusual occurrences.

Responsible for having a working knowledge of the locations supplied throughout the Erlanger System. Supports the department to ensure associated expenses are within budgeted targets including labor and fuel and maintains ongoing communications with both the customers and Supply Chain Management team. Responsible for tagging boxes, delivering orders, managing returns, logging delivery data into the handheld, safely operating equipment and proactively tracking preventive maintenance items for equipment and vehicles.
