Job Summary:
The manager is responsible for day-to-day oversight and coordination of the Behavioral Health (BH) sitting program at Erlanger; will ensure the overall program success by ensuring accurate implementation of safety mitigations of this patient population. The manager will coordinate the daily activities related to the planning, implementing and maintaining all functions pertinent to BH Sitter assignments and oversight. These activities will include daily monitoring of activities and continuous improvement through technology, education, training and positive enforcement of appropriate work practices. The manager is responsible for assuring the delivery of best practices while maintaining a strict adherence to the regulatory guidelines.
Education:
Required:
High School Diploma
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
College major of either: Healthcare Administration, Communication or Psychology
Experience:
Required:
At least three years of management experience
Preferred:
Healthcare specific experience, emphasis on patient safety and staff oversight.

De-escalation (preferably CIT) certification - must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Directs the BH Sitting staff at Erlanger to ensure the overall success of this essential safety program, for a positive impact on the overall safety of patients who require BH sitting/ monitoring. Responsible for aligning the daily activities related to the planning, implementing and maintaining all functions pertinent to the BH assignments throughout the health system. Responsible for continued improvement in staff through education, training and positive enforcement of appropriate working practices. Responsible for implementing best practices while maintaining a strict adherence to the regulatory guidelines. Must have the ability to handle a fast paced, high stress environment.
