Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations and ensuring smooth food preparation processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the culinary industry and looking to gain experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties:
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes
- Support the production manager in various tasks, such as cleaning and organizing workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and sanitary kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the production.manager to learn and create all Erin's Elderberries foods/items
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned by the production manager or owner

-Assist in duties during Erin's Elderberries large community events that are held 3x a year

Skills:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation setting is preferred
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, such as knives, mixers, and ovens
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated according to labor laws.

Benefits:

-Some hours (such as Monday mornings from 9-1) are required shifts, however all other hours can be set by the production assistant as long as they are meeting goals and expectations of both the production manager and owner.
