TITLE OF POSITION: EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION NURSE
(Provisional)

POSITION NUMBER: # 51018050, 51018051 (2 POSITIONS)

JOB GROUP & SALARY SCALE: 11 - $73,572 - $108,447

MINIMUM OUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of a Bachelor's degree in nursing and five (5) years of registered professional nursing experience, at least one (1) year of which were in an emergency room or critical care unit or working in a telehealth setting.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Licensure and current registration to practice as a registered professional nurse in New York State and maintenance throughout employment; and

Must receive Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification and Emergency Communication Nurse System certification within 60 days of hire and maintain such certification for the duration of employment; and

Must receive Emergency Communication Nurse System Quality Improvement Certification within 12 months of hire and maintain such certification for the duration of employment; and

The candidate must possess certification in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) (or equivalent) within 12 months of appointment and maintain such certification for the duration of employment; and

The candidate must possess a valid CPR certification at the time of application and maintain such certification for the duration of employment.
