We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to provide professional legal services regarding patent litigation, contract drafting and negotiations, regulatory compliance, intellectual property rights and dispute resolution. Please apply! Excellent benefits available!
What you will do:
- Assist Ericsson's Associate General Counsel-Litigation in the Company's litigation in North America
- Day-today management of cases, including assisting with selecting and leading aspects of work by outside counsel, attending depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials, and keeping management generally informed about the status of cases
- Reviewing and approving pleadings, briefs, and other court filings
- Leading legal hold distribution and compliance, responding to discovery requests, coordinating the collection and productions of documents and electronic records, identifying employees with knowledge of relevant facts, and responding to third party subpoenas
- Interviewing witnesses and preparing witnesses for dispositions
- Running and coordinating responses to indemnity demands
The skills you bring:
- J.D. and/or LLM degree and notable academic achievement
- At least three years of hands-on experience working with patent litigation matters
- An engineering degree, particularly in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar field of study
- Prior experience in or familiarity with the telecommunications industry is preferred but not required
- Clerkship experience with a federal district court or the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, though not a prerequisite, would be a plus
- High integrity and ethics coupled with drive and persistency
- Collaborative colleague who works effectively in a multinational matrix organization
- Solid track record in effectively building relationships and engaging at all levels
- Adept written and oral communication skills
