As the Head of Compliance for Market Area North America at Ericsson, you will supervise a team and lead the compliance function for one of Ericsson's largest and most strategic market areas, and serving a diverse set of business and organizational units across North America.
Ericsson's Compliance Office has direct responsibility for managing risks related to violations of law or Ericsson's Code of Business Ethics. In this exciting role, you will lead a high performing team of compliance officers and will work in close partnership with other key Market Area assurance functions, leadership teams and the global Compliance organization, including senior leaders. You will align Ericsson's Ethics and Compliance program with the market area's strategy and business plan to drive best in class customer and employee experience.
The position is located in Plano, Texas.
In this role you will:
Lead Ericsson's ethics and compliance program and governance within Market Area North America
Manage a team of Compliance Officers as well as leading relevant committees and boards such as the Market Area Compliance Committee, the Remediation Committee and the Business Partner Review Board
Provide expert advice, practical solutions and counsel to leaders and assurance functions on compliance-related matters, including well thought-through insights and proposed solutions
Understand your and your team's role as a proactive risk-based and solution-oriented problem solver, jointly with the business
Ensure effective and sound advice to the business regarding the engagement or retention of high risk third-parties and train all stakeholders, including external third parties
Assess and manage actual or potential conflicts of interest, expenditure risks and engagements with public officials
Facilitate and co-drive a robust culture of ethics & compliance, in particular when it comes to creating a safe environment for all employees to speak up and raise compliance concerns
Leverage outcomes of ethics and compliance program monitoring, testing, and other assurance activities and work with leaders to continuously adapt the program components while ensuring that any process gaps are fully remediated and operationalized as expected
Facilitate remediation from compliance-related investigations, including personnel discipline and process improvements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Commercial & Customer acumen:
A proven track record of successfully partnering with senior business, commercial and functional leaders, based on a relationship of trust and consistently improving customer and employee experience
A willingness to develop a deep understanding of Ericsson's business, including insights into the priorities across all functional units and where Compliance can contribute and enhance business impact
A strong commercial acumen to review commercial projects and identify and mitigate compliance risks presented
Knowledge of the telecom industry and its North American customers is a plus
Compliance experience:
Demonstrated strong compliance background
A proven track record of leading a successful ethics and compliance team within a large and diverse multi-national company
The ability to implement Ericsson's global compliance program to address specific North American requirements, issues and challenges
An understanding of data analytics and ability to distill raw data and convey to stakeholders into usable or actionable information
The ability to take ownership for and leading complex compliance problems and projects and drive a sustainable business solution
Leadership:
Experience in leading teams of compliance professionals and fostering a positive culture of high performance and excellence
Experience in working with senior leaders, including in presenting problems and solutions
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, a solutions-oriented approach, ability to balance short and long-term priorities, and strong strategic thinking
Demonstrated success as a leader of change, and an attitude of being open to new ideas, accepting challenges and leading with curiosity and optimism
Superior communication skills, verbally and in writing
Preferred experience and education requirements:
Previous leadership experience in a compliance function within a large multi-national company
Graduate degree in law, business, or accounting, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in compliance, legal or other relevant corporate function (finance / audit)
Fluent in English
International experience and cultural awareness
Willingness to travel and work across time zones
Your Pay
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
$200,000 - $230,000
Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of 3 medical plan options, 2 of which are PPO plans requiring employee contributions to the cost of premiums, and a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with no premiums for employees. In addition, Ericsson offers dental coverage, employee paid vision coverage, and other company paid physical wellness programs.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson's 401(k) plan offers an automatic 3%company contribution and up to a 4% company match, leading to a maximum company contribution of 7% annually. Employees will also receive company paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and paid company short-term and long-term disability benefits. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1 volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
