ERGS Properties is Hiring a Landscaper/Laborer Near Fernley, NV

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. As a Landscape Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting in various landscaping tasks to ensure the maintenance and beautification of outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities:
- Perform mowing, trimming, and edging of lawns and garden areas
- Assist in the maintenance of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants

- Keep property free of trash and animal waste.

- Assist in keeping large trash enclosures clean, clear, and accessible for residents and waste pick up companies.

- Keep building exteriors free of cobwebs, trash, debris, etc.

- Snow removal as needed.
- Use hand tools and power equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Assist in the upkeep of irrigation systems
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues with landscape elements
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of projects
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping or grounds keeping is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic landscaping techniques and practices preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

- Personal vehicle and Driver's License required.

Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects; exert oneself physically over extended periods of time; listen and learn; prioritize and plan work activities using time efficiently; identify required tasks, execute appropriately and follow tasks through to completion; communicate with others effectively; follow policies, procedures and regulations; work effectively individually as well as in a team environment; problem solve; be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines; be proactive; maintain a sense of ownership and willingness to take responsibility/accountability; be flexible and work on-call shifts.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

PAY: Competitive industry pay depending on experience, certifications, etc.

Physical Demands: The essential functions of the position are categorized as Heavy Work and may include exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Also may require frequent (5-8 hours per day) standing and walking, repetitive use of both hands, firm/strong grasping; occasional (3-5 hours per day) reaching overhead and bending over; seldom (0-3 hours per day) sitting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, stooping, pushing/pulling, driving of personal vehicle, visual acuity to perform activities such as operating machinery and determine neatness and thoroughness of work assigned, hearing of normal speaking levels.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed mostly outside, with exposure to heat, cold, wet and dry conditions. May also be exposed to varying heights, fumes, odors, gases, and dust; may come into contact with slippery surfaces as well as mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Work is performed using basic hand and power tools and occasionally snowblowers. Work may be performed alone, with others, around others, and with verbal and face-to-face contact. Work may include extended days, on call assignments and weekends. Work requires use of personal vehicle daily.
