Your role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Intern to develop Simulation and Visualization software for Lunar robotics platforms. This position will support the LASSO II Contract located at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL.

**This position will be full-time throughout the summer and is expected to extend into the fall.**

 What you’ll do all day:

  • Develop software for multiple robotics platforms, focusing on simulation and visualization of lunar robotic missions.
  • Develop, debug, integrate, and test using tools such as Unity, ROS2, Github, C#, C .
  • 3D modeling of in-app assets using CAD tools such as Creo or Blender.
  • Support software documentation efforts, software test plan efforts, software catalog release plan efforts, project status reporting efforts, technical conference report writing efforts, final project report writing efforts.
  • Support mid-term and final stakeholder demonstrations.

Minimum requirements for this position:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with Unity. Unity Features to include Prefabs, Scriptable Objects, Unity UI, Shader Graph, Computer Shaders, Mesh Generation (if working with the terrain directly)
  • Experience with ROS2.
  • Knowledge of coding in C# to include class types (interfaces, abstract classes, etc.), LINQ, Working with Lists/Collections, General object-oriented skills (polymorphism, inheritance, etc.), Events
  • General knowledge of how to use QGIS. Being able to crop data and translate it into different file, scales, and data formats.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants
