Your role:

The Engineering Technician will work as a valued team member responsible for configuring test equipment, loading/downloading fixtures and test items, installing instrumentation, building boxes, platforms, etc. for test support, as well as other duties as assigned.

 

What you’ll do all day:

  • The desired candidate will orient exciters in proper axis, configuring slip tables and/or bearings, install test fixtures, haul explosives, mount test items onto exciters, install/validate transducers.
  • The candidate will follow all Standing Operating Procedures (SOP), work procedures, Test Safety Risk Assessments (TSRA) and safety guidelines.
  • Job orientation and on the job training will be provided.
  • The candidate will collaborate with teammates in establishing best practices and workplace organization.
  • Other duties as assigned. The ability to work safely and efficiently is a must.

Minimum requirements for this position:

  • High School Diploma and/or Associates Degree from an accredited college/university preferred. One (1) years of experience in a mechanical or technical field or testing of military hardware is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)

Desired skills and experience for this position:

  • The Engineering Technician should be able to read, understand and support the development of detailed work procedures as well as use and operate typical mechanical tools.
  • The candidate should possess a High School diploma or GED with an Associate of Science degree from an accredited college/university preferred. One (1) years of experience in a mechanical or technical field and supporting engineering or testing of military hardware is preferred.
  • Applicant must possess the ability to work in extreme conditions and temperatures both hot and cold.
  • The candidate must be self-motivated, dependable, possess written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work within a team environment.
  • They should be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and capable of lifting 50 lbs.
  • The Engineering Technician must be capable of obtaining Group II Level Explosive Certification and be willing to work in a hazardous environment.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who possess an active Secret Security Clearance, valid driver’s license and who are high-energy, fast-paced, driven, organized and attentive to detail.
