EquipmentShare is Hiring a Culinary Assistant

EquipmentShare is searching for a Culinary Assistant for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the ES Culinary Team and the Executive Chef to learn about basic gardening, proper culinary technique, and a variety of culinary projects.
  • Help and prepare Monday - Friday breakfasts and lunches
  • Work with ES Culinary Team to put out weekly parties for meetings and special events that are hosted
  • Assist in inventory control, learning ordering and uses
  • Help with stocking of all snack, coffee and drinks for staff
  • Help plan weekly menus
  • Assist with any No Child Hungry projects and Disaster Relief Projects
  • Assist with clean up and special detailing projects

Skills & Qualifications

  • Have a desire to pursue culinary arts or have a strong desire to work in the culinary field
  • Basic knife skills and basic knowledge of kitchen equipment or willing to learn
  • Gardening skills are a plus - have to be willing to learn garden to plate
  • Must be willing to multitask and be willing to get challenged by the job
  • Be able to take direction and feedback
  • You have a strong desire to take on new challenges with a positive attitude
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures / environments
