We are currently hiring Behavior Technicians at a rate of $35k annually with a $500 sign on bonus and an abundance of overtime hours available. We are a values-driven team of premier caregivers who make a difference in the lives of children and young adults with mental disabilities. We have 22 sites around the St. Louis City, North County and St. Charles area, and over 250 staff members who are working diligently to assist and empower our clients 24/7. Many of our clients have challenging behaviors.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Autism or Developmental Disabilities in the following fields: Behavioral Health, Residential, Day Program, ISL
  • Drivers License and proof of auto insurance, with a reliable means to transport during your shift
  • Class E Drivers License within 90 days of employment 
  • Ability to work in teams while maintaining a positive and solution focused attitude
  • Desire to continuously learn and develop skillsets
  • Demonstrate examples of living our core values of kindness, accountability, urgency and integrity
  • Be community oriented and driven to do things for the betterment of our internal community 
  • Willingness to work in an ISL home environment
  • English proficiency, both verbal and written, is required
  • Be able to lift up to 30 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision treatment to patients under the direction in a 2:1 or 1:1 group environment (2 technicians to every 1 patient, 1 technician to every 1 patient)
  • Assist with the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs in the home environment, collecting and record data on patient progress with high fidelity
  • Plan, participate and drive clients to planned outings (reliable transportation is on site during shift).
  • Assist residential management in meeting quality assurance standards of care, such as grocery shopping, reviewing notes and facilitating monthly guardian visits
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families and colleagues
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate, timely, HIPAA compliant records at all times
  • Move frequently throughout the therapeutic setting to gather materials, anticipate and respond to the movement of a patient, and/or provide instruction in a variety of settings, such as home, community settings and medical appointments
  • Constantly position oneself to participate and respond to the movements and behaviors of patients, including but not limited to bending to assist a patient, kneeling/crouching to teach a play skill, hurrying to block an open doorway, or reaching to prevent a patient from entering a traffic congested street
  • Occasionally move to evade aggressive behaviors and/or physically block attempts to aggress towards others

Schedule: 12 hours day shifts OR 12 hour overnight shifts. (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) or (Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday) with all schedules alternating Saturdays. Schedules are set at the start of employment.
