Our mission is to ensure each scholar reaches individual academic and personal success through a nurturing, scholar-centered approach. At Equality we value educating all students, including those in need of intensive academic and social-emotional support. Our schools’ educational program is driven by the Multi Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to make sound decisions to help produce the best academic and social outcomes for our scholars.

General Description of Position

The Director of Culture oversees/supports all systems and processes that contribute to a healthy, productive, and positive school environment that is conducive to scholar academic success and social-emotional development.

Major Responsibilities

• Oversight of School Culture
• Co-Leads Implementation of MTSS 
• Oversight of School Safety
• Instructional oversight of Elective courses
• Assessment Administration and Data Analysis Support
• Oversight and support of various administrative duties

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Passion for education and a dedication to Equality’s mission
• Has a high capacity for problem-solving, a demonstrated ability to manage numerous tasks and competing demands, and communication skills that foster collaboration with numerous internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication
• Strong interpersonal skills required
• Strong pedagogical skills required
• Demonstrates a willingness and ability to examine and implement changes necessary to produce effective and efficient systems that, ultimately, contribute to increased staff effectiveness and student outcomes

Required Credentials

• Master's Degree
• NYS certification, SBL Certification/Documented SBL Program Enrollment or completion by 7/1/24
