The role of the classroom teacher at Equality Charter Elementary School is viewed differently from many other schools. Our program is designed to allow teachers time and capacity to be excellent math and literacy instructors and the community social-emotional leaders of their classrooms. We intentionally limit all other demands on our teachers to ensure they develop expertise in these two core areas, areas that are the foundation for all learning - math and literacy. The responsibilities of the teacher, and the time allocations related, are evidence of this priority.
