Role Overview:
Eptura is looking for a passionate Instructional Designer to create learning experiences for our new platform. This person will work closely with the Product team to help generate content such as, but not limited to, Knowledge Center content, Release Notes, How-To Videos, Product Tours to guide customers how to use the product.
The Instructional Designer’s role involves researching and understanding educational topics, translating complex concepts into clear and engaging content, and incorporating instructional design principles. The Instructional Designer will work closely with subject matter experts and other content writers to develop materials that effectively convey information and facilitate learning using modern AI tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality instructional materials, including how-to videos, product tutorials, and knowledge center guides.
  • Update and maintain our knowledge center to ensure accuracy, relevancy, and accessibility of information.
  • Create comprehensive release notes for product updates and new features, communicating changes effectively to users.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather information and insights for content creation.
  • Utilize AI tools to develop engaging and user-friendly how-to videos and tutorials for diverse audiences.
  • Utilize instructional design principles and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of learning materials.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure content meets high standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and e-learning.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members on instructional design principles and methodologies.
  • Follow the established Technical Writing Style Guide and contribute to improving the guide to incorporate the instructional design principles.
About you:
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, learning theories, and adult learning principles.
  • Experience in video production and editing, with proficiency in tools such as Vysor, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software.
  • Experience with image editing software such as Snagit or Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience with interactive learning strategies.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies.
  • Experience working in software development or technology-related industries.
  • Passion for staying at the forefront of AI advancements in the content creation space.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think innovatively about learning content delivery.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
