EPTAM Precision Micro-Machining is looking for a Manufacturing Apprentice 1st Shift that will specialize in Materials and Tooling to join our team in Lakeville, MN. POSITION OVERVIEW The Manufacturing Apprentice is primarily for the following:

  • Support operations, machinists, and manufacturing activities.
  • Adhere to established quality systems and procedures to ensure an effective manufacturing flow, with accuracy, and fulfillment of all customer requirements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Adhere to the Quality Management System and documented processes.
    • Notify the Manager of potential deviations from documented processes or standards.
    • Comply with quality reporting systems.
    • Follow Work Instructions and Inspection Procedures for shop travelers.
    • Suggest improvements for inspection work processes and methods.
    • Follow SOP’s, Work Instructions, and processes to ensure customer requirements are met.
    • As required, inspect and hand deburr parts using magnification/microscope.
    • Assist secondary operations, including laser marking, assembly, mass finishing, final cleaning, and chemical finishing.
    • Tool presetting/kitting
    • Receive and inventory materials and tooling.
    • Use XRF Material Analyzer and Laser Mark material per procedure.
    • Maintain proper inventory and communicate issues to Accounting.
    • Operate CMM/VMM and Keyence
    • Assist with In-Process inspection sheets as needed.
    • Maintain equipment and accessories.
    • Adhere to Company policies as defined in the Employee Handbook
    • Other duties as assigned.

      OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Represent the company, as required, during customer, internal and ISO audits, as well as FDA inspections.
      • Support communication that ensures management and employee understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

        OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

        • Understand basic math, blueprint reading, and written instructions.
        • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to achieve overall goals and objectives of the organization.
        • Maintains a personal and professional ‘continuous improvement’ mindset.
        • Basic written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
        • Basic skills in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

          EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

          • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
          • Associates degree, vocational training, or equivalent experience preferred
