Early Elementary Teacher at Epstein Hillel School
Welcome to Epstein Hillel School, a vibrant and progressive Pre-K-8 Jewish community day school. We provide a challenging interdisciplinary curriculum that fosters critical thinking, curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in our students. We are a tight knit and vibrant community that prioritizes creativity, flexibility, and rich academic experiences to help students meet their potential while strengthening their identity and connection to the Jewish community. Our students not only excel academically, but they also think independently, work collaboratively, and become engaged leaders with a deep sense of Jewish pride. If you are looking for a school where teachers are passionate about teaching and learning and are committed to every child, where the “head of school” is the “head learner”, and where “going to work” feels like “coming home”, then you are looking for EHS.

We are seeking dynamic and flexible individuals who love teaching young children. The ideal candidate has outstanding teaching ability, sensitivity to the social and emotional needs of young children, strong organizational skills, and is driven to explore ways to reach all learners through differentiated instruction in a child-centered classroom. References should speak to the candidate’s ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. We prioritize strong collaborative and communication skills, a positive attitude and desire to grow professionally, and the ability to inspire curiosity and creativity in young students.

  • Creating appropriate lessons and assessments that reflect a variety of teaching techniques and strategies to meet all types of learners
  • Fostering a classroom environment that is engaging and organized to promote student learning and growth
  • Maintaining a positive mindset toward child learning and social-emotional development
  • Integrating technology effectively to enhance instruction
  • Developing mutually trusting relationships with families through daily communication, weekly newsletters, email, and conferences
  • Attending all required faculty meetings and school sponsored events
    Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, masters degree preferred
  • 3-5 years teaching experience, preferably in Kindergarten or 1st grade
  • Experience in early reading instruction (especially for 1st grade candidates)
