Job Summary: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a home care setting. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of our residents. Responsibilities: - Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities - Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing - Administer medication according to prescribed schedules - Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding - Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings - Document and report any changes in residents' health or behavior - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information - Advocate for resident rights and promote a safe and inclusive environment Experience: - Previous experience in senior care, working with people with developmental disabilities, or similar caregiving roles is preferred - Knowledge of patient care techniques, including vital signs monitoring, is a plus - Familiarity with childcare principles and practices is beneficial Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team - Compassionate nature and genuine interest in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities Benefits: - Competitive pay rates based on experience - Flexible scheduling options available - Ongoing training and professional development opportunities - Supportive work environment that values teamwork and collaboration If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, we encourage you to apply for the position of Direct Support Professional.
