Epiphany Industrial Tech is Hiring a Sr Business Analyst- Integration Near San Antonio, TX

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for delivering enterprise integration solutions to our customers. This is a dynamic role that will support project teams in requirements gathering, data mapping, testing, training, and post-deployment support as well as working alongside Analysts and Technical Architects to design the perfect integration solution. This individual will bring in cross-industry best practices, have strong technical and functional capabilities, be a trusted advisor to our customers to deliver business value over software delivery, and bring a passion for data management and helping others.

The Senior Business Analyst must be able to adapt their messaging to the audience and bridge the communication gap between stakeholder groups. It also requires that they partner with both onshore and offshore project teams in agile, scrum, or waterfall solution design and execution. The Senior Business Analyst will also need to facilitate discussions among stakeholders to drive consensus toward a solution and assist Delivery managers to achieve successful solution delivery.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, identifies symptoms and root causes, and recommends alternative solutions.
  • Ensures adherence to enterprise standards in project execution methodology, technical delivery, and standards compliance; collaborates on project estimation and quoting to ensure successful delivery.
  • Partners with the project team throughout the entire project life cycle to ensure clear objectives are defined and documented, the definition of done is clear, the acceptance criteria are clearly documented, the execution of deliverables meet requirements and business need, and tasks and the project itself are closed out appropriately based on defined and documented requirements.
  • Leads the data analysis and impact assessment regarding changes in business processes and systems; Works closely as a liaison between the project team, third-party vendors, and the business user community to ensure a complete understanding of requirements and quality in the delivery of value-added, growth-generating business solutions.
  • Gathers integration-specific business requirements to ensure that the data movement between applications meets the business needs; Develop appropriate documentation to convert business requirements into technical requirements, develop data mappings, glossaries, and maps traceability from business needs through requirements to test cases; Capture platform specific transformation requirements and translates which may include leading JAD sessions to define interfaces, features, stories, use cases, data models and mapping, inputs, outputs, test cases, and reporting requirements
  • Participates in the data governance program and work with business stakeholders to define associated data quality rules and measures; Perform root cause analysis for data-related issues and partner with data owners and data stewards to resolve data quality issues.
  • Drives discovery, ideation sessions, and one-on-one interviews to elicit requirements; Solicits and embraces feedback from others.
  • Drives innovation within the practice/team by creating/identifying delivery process improvements, tools, and templates & as well works on increasing adoptions of these innovations during delivery.
  • Analyzes new/disparate data sources for integration with existing datasets; Understands existing CRM/ERP applications and database structures to best determine how to consolidate and aggregate data in an efficient and scalable way
  • Develops a deep knowledge of the business and build positive relationship development, both horizontally and vertically
  • Continuously learns new approaches to facilitation, agile best practices, and how to improve team dynamics.
  • Facilitates and influences management-level peers in designing and defining solutions which may include the ideation, discovery, initiation, and business requirements phases of a project and the purchase decisions for software acquisitions and upgrades.
  • Partners with the delivery manager throughout the entire project life cycle to ensure clear objectives are defined and documented, the execution of deliverables meet requirements and business need, and tasks and the project itself are closed out appropriately based on defined and documented requirements; may be brought in to assist on project risk and issue resolution as needed.
  • Effectively mentor, advisor, and coach junior-level BAs and DMs
  • Lead small/medium-sized projects/tasks with low to moderate complexity as the DM.
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with managing complex data integration implementations, including CRM, ERP, and legacy platforms; Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced, high-energy, challenging environment where there are multiple competing priorities daily
  • Experience in developing user stories and acceptance criteria for data-centric business needs.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical requirements for data integration platforms that may include Informatica, MuleSoft, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Datawarehouse, etc.
  • Good understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts and ability to articulate these with a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Background in supporting data integration teams by providing subject matter expertise and guidance in developing business rules and specifications.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of program structuring and work planning (using tools such as Azure DevOps, Teams, Mural, Lucid, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to focus on business value results, rather than solutions; Must be able to emphasize high-value activities that will bring ROI or positively differentiate us from our competitors.
  • Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skill sets, High energy, stamina, enthusiasm, organization, and curiosity.
  • Be comfortable working in a matrix environment and foster motivation within the project team to meet tight deadlines; Ability to inspire individuals and teams to achieve success.
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and quickly ramp up on new clients, their data landscape, and support engagements.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization.
  • Excellent process management, negotiating, influencing, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Data profiling experience and strong SQL skills are preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of business Analyst experience with a focus on developing requirements for data-related projects required.
  • Active certifications (MuleSoft, PMP, CSM, Product Owner) preferred.
  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment required.
  • Experience working as a Scrum Master preferred.

Travel:

Up to 20% with occasional overnight stay
