Salary: $35,000-$52,000

Position Summary: The position of a Speech Language Pathologist – Assistant provides coordinated speech therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Administers the speech therapy treatment plan as developed by the supervising SLP 
  • Using strong communication skills to communicate with families, SLP and staff. 
  • Attending IEP meetings when appropriate as well as perform clerical and scheduling duties 
  • Documenting students' performance, including skill targeted and type/amount of support provided and administering and scoring screenings for the interpretation by the SLP 
  • Developing and implementing activities and materials for teaching and practice of skills to address the goals of the student, per the plan developed by the supervising SLP 
  • Providing treatment through a variety of service delivery models, which may include teletherapy, in-person therapy, individual, and group therapy 
  • Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitates the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desirable outcomes. 
  • Demonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency. 
  • Promote Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care. 

Experience/Requirements:

  • Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information. 
  • Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. 
  • Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Responsive to requests. 
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance. 

Education/License/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution of higher education. 
  • Current Active State License to practice Speech Therapy in the state you are looking to work within. 

Physical/Sensory Essential Functions: 

  • Ability to meet vaccination requirements of partnered school districts
  • Requires prolonged standing and walking, some bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching and/or heavy lifting. 
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity, sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone and other equipment. 

Working Conditions:
