Join our team as a Seasonal Snow Removal Specialist with Epic Lawn Care, a local, licensed, and bonded professional outdoor service provider. We are dedicated to providing top-notch commercial snow and ice removal services to our valued clients. This position is seasonal and weather-dependent, requiring on-call availability for immediate response to freezing temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
Responsibilities:

Weather Monitoring:

• Monitor weather conditions for triggers including freezing temperatures, high relative humidity, and precipitation (rain, snow, freezing rain, sleet).
• Respond promptly when weather triggers are met.

Snow and Ice Removal:

• Conduct snow and ice removal services for commercial properties, including sidewalks, driveways, walks, and parking lots.
• Utilize liquid or granular ice melt applications for effective ice removal.
• Perform manual tasks such as shoveling and lifting 50lb bags of ice melt during shift work.

Equipment Operation:

• Operate snow plows and other equipment for efficient removal of snow from designated areas.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any issues promptly.

Availability and On-Call Work:

• Be available for on-call work during the winter season.
• Work extended night shifts as needed to address weather-related service requests.

Driving and Backup Transportation:

• Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable backup transportation in place.
• Adhere to safe driving practices, especially in adverse weather conditions.

Communication:

• Have access to WhatsApp for team chat for on-call communications.
• Possess a working phone for immediate communication during on-call shifts.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform manual labor, including shoveling snow and lifting 50lb bags of ice melt.
• Meet physical demands of the job, ensuring safety and efficiency during snow removal activities.
• Dress appropriately for winter conditions: Slip resistant winter boots, warm winter clothes and gloves that are water resistant, and warm hat.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work in freezing temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
• Previous experience in snow and ice removal is a plus.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including lifting and operating heavy equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work varying hours based on weather conditions.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for snow and ice removal.

Future Opportunity:

If you have lawn care maintenance experience and you have been in good standing with attendance during the snow season this position may lead into a full time position in the spring.
