EP ASU Enterprise Partners is Hiring a Business Intelligence Manager Near Centerpoint, IN

Who we want: Business Intelligence Manager ASU Enterprise Partners, a private, nonprofit organization comprised of five subsidiaries that raise, create and invest resources for Arizona State University, is seeking a Business Intelligence Manager. The Business Intelligence Manager is an integral team member of the Strategic Insights and Planning team and is responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining the tools and business intelligence to allow for real time business decision support. The Business Intelligence Manager will have a broad view and understanding of business needs and strategy and will require theoretical and practical application of specialized knowledge pertaining to the use of data mining, data modeling, and data diagramming in parallel with various collection tactics to develop highly specialized interactive intelligence applications. What you’ll do: Develop processes for aggregating and analyzing data; evaluate data to identify patterns, opportunities, and issues for use in data-driven decision-making Assist with converting ideas and business needs into meaningful dashboard designs and data requirements Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical requirements for reporting/visualizations, data models, and databases Evaluate business requests for new or modified capabilities to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities Write ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing to identify patterns/trends and extract information from large datasets to make predictions on future outcomes Support consultative relationships with key business stakeholders, proactively identifying and addressing business intelligence (BI) needs to meet business needs Work on designing, capacity planning, developing, and performance tuning end-to-end BI solutions using platforms such as Tableau, Business Objects, AWS, SQL, Python, Power BI, Workday Adaptive Planning Support the partnership with business stakeholders to streamline and automate existing reporting, crucial for meeting regulatory and compliance requirements Plan and conduct experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle Troubleshoot software and processes for data consistency and integrity; integrate large scale data from a variety of sources for business partners to generate insight and make decisions Define and establish flow, procedures, and equipment configuration for various data modules Perform system testing and integration, ensuring accuracy and minimizing risk Test code thoroughly for accuracy of intended purpose; review end product with users to ensure adequate understanding and provide data analysis guidance as required Test and implement new software releases through regression testing; identify issues and engage with vendors to resolve and elevate software into production Develop strategies to resolve difficult problems through debugging and troubleshooting Create and maintain documentation of BI tools and standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure consistently high work performance and results across the department and organization Other duties as assigned What you’ll need: Knowledge of data connectivity, sources, architecture, requirements, and the ability to manage information Knowledge of Power BI and Workday Adaptive Planning Ability to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data Knowledge of ETL and data warehouse concepts and processes Ability to collect and analyze complex data, perform workflow analysis, and translate the outcome into definable software functionality to streamline business processes Creativity to determine the best solution for a real-world problem with quantitative data Ability to understand business needs & strategy in order translate data into visualizations Provide overall business decision support including but not limited to identifying and mitigating risk Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data, and assumptions Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences Collaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect information Strong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and by phone Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Problem solver who can take initiative and set priorities while being flexible Team-oriented strategist able to effectively manage complex situations involving numerous and sometimes competing constituencies Ability to represent the institution well An advocate’s belief in the vision of ASU as the New American University Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects Adept at navigating complex environments with evolving priorities and communication plans Relevant qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics or in a science, technology, engineering, and/or math (STEM) discipline with a minimum of (five) 5 years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale BI and data visualization programs within highly distributed complex business and technology environments. Experience utilizing Power BI and Workday Adaptive Planning is highly preferred. Familiarity with programming languages such as SAS, SQL, Hive, Python and core data extraction, with some AI experience preferred. Mental demands: Clarity of focus while juggling complex projects or deadlines. Working conditions: Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. May be required to perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses. Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions. This position may require some early mornings and evenings to accommodate meetings and events. This position currently requires you to work from the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with Monday and Friday optional remote days.
