POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Network Engineer will support the Project Management and Network Engineering team to carry out a best in class service in the deployment of networking hardware for Global customers.

We are looking or individuals who have their CCNA, are eager to learn and continue to grow in their career and are wanting to be a part of something special for the long term!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Installing network hardware, components and cabling
  • Trouble shooting and resolving issues on the network
  • Inspect Ethernet and fiber optic lines to ensure intact and working effectively
  • Ability to rack and stack networking hardware within onsite and off-site racks in accordance with requirements
  • Ability to provide technical support through various means of communication
  • Collaborate easily with network engineers and project managers
  • Assisting network engineers in the form of network design, implementation and problem resolution
  • Be able to cable networking rooms and racks to data center cabling requirements and standards
  • Connect and copy base configs onto devices
  • Meet quality, productivity, turnaround time and other expectations
  • Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably required by the company and within the competency of the post-holder.

 WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • CCNA / CompTIA would be preferred
  • 2 years Network deployment experience
  • Good experience of networking hardware – routers, servers, switches, PDU’s, copper and fiber optic cabling
  • Hands on experience with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls, Wireless controllers and AP’s
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read technical network diagrams, schematics and port maps
  • Ability to interpret rack build layouts and bills of materials
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and a desire to build skills in this area
  • Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to diagnose basic technical problems and find the root cause
  • Ability to work in fast paced dynamic environment
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Network Engineering Deployments for large-scale networks in a corporate environment
  • Must be available to work outside of normal business hours
  • Must be available to travel to various customer sites within the US 40-60% of the time, and globally if required
