We are excited to add an experienced veterinary technician/assistant to our team! Duties and Responsibilities

*Obtain patient history

*Collect specimens for routine laboratory procedures and perform basic laboratory tests

*Dispense and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarians

*Prepare patients for surgery, monitor patients under anesthesia, recover patients from surgery

*Assist veterinarians during surgery and dental procedures

*Venipuncture and IV catheter placement

*Position and take radiographs

*Assist veterinarians in the handling of patients during exams and various procedures

*Answer calls, check patients in and out, make appointments

*Educate and communicate with owners

*Keep all clinic areas clean and sanitized

*Maintain surgical equipment

*Organize and stock supplies

*Perform other duties as assigned

*Be able to lift at least 40 pounds and be able to stand on your feet all day

*Works well with doctors and other team members

*Punctuality and reliability are a must

Education

Veterinary technician certification desired

Previous on-the-job training required if not certified

High school or GED minimum required

2 years of experience working in a previous clinic or animal-related field is highly desired

Hourly rate will be determined by amount of previous experience applicant possesses.
