About the Optician Role:

The ideal candidate for our Optician position should possess a personable demeanor, creating a welcoming environment for our patients. A genuine passion for eyecare and overall patient well-being is crucial for delivering an exceptional experience. We envision this individual growing into the role of an optical manager.

Optician Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with frame selection, provide education on lens choices and coatings, perform frame adjustments, and facilitate sales.
• Train new contact lens patients on the insertion and removal process.
• Open to cross-training for patient work-ups when needed, including pre-testing, auto-refraction, IOP measurement, retinal photos, OCT scans, visual fields, visual acuity measurement, and more.
• Measure prescriptions for single vision, bifocal, and progressive glasses using manual and auto lensometers.
• Handle phone inquiries, schedule patient appointments, and manage check-ins and check-outs.
• Process vision insurance claims.
• Order patient products, including frames, lenses, contact lenses, sunglasses, and more.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 36 per week
