Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team at L&S Metals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup and operation of computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce high-quality metal parts with precision and efficiency. If you have proven experience in CNC machining, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, we invite you to apply.

Primary Job Duties

  • Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including tool selection and fixture setup.
  • Operate CNC machines to produce components while monitoring the production process for quality and efficiency.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM software or G-code programming.
  • Debug and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct frequent quality checks on machined parts to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and tooling required for CNC operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a metal fabrication or machining environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in CAM software or G-code programming.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine control.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
