  • Flexibility to work alternate shifts/hours as needed to support production schedules

Pay - $20/Hour

Reports To - Maintenance Manager

Pre-Hire Requirements - Completion of drug test and background check

Role:

As the sole Maintenance Technician on 1st shift, you will be responsible for supporting and ensuring continuous production by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and performing preventative maintenance on plant machinery.

  • Perform direct labor duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Ensures operation of process equipment by completing corrective and preventative maintenance requirements on molded pulp machinery from the wet-end process to molding and drying, including; motors, pumps, valves, agitators, conveyor systems, electrical/instrumentation components, gas burners, air compressors, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.
  • Ensures operation of Tool Shop equipment by completing preventative maintenance on manual lathes, band saws, drill presses and CNC vertical mills.
  • Follows diagrams, sketches, operator manuals, manufacturer's instructions, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions in equipment.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, lifts, cranes, hand and power tools
  • Determines suitability of components by inspecting used parts and rebuilding as necessary.
  • Assists as needed in the engineering, fabrication, installation and commissioning of new processes and equipment.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of maintenance tasks and scheduling.
  • Fabricates repair parts when necessary and/or utilizes outside vendors for repairs.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
  • Anticipates needed equipment, parts and supplies; provides technical information needed to complete purchase orders; verifies receipt of goods/services as needed.
  • Provides mechanical and electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Assists in preparation of performance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends.
  • Completes associated documentation (work orders, inventory recording, safety documents, etc.)
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with EnviroPAK procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to OSHA standards and the EnviroPAK Safety Policy.
  • Maintains spare parts inventory and communicate with Management to ensure accuracy.
  • Other duties assigned by Maintenance Manager

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED and advanced technical school training (or relevant field experience)
  • 1-3 years mechanical and preventative maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Maintenance/technical experience should include one or more of the following: conveyors, pumps, motors, agitators, pneumatics, hydraulics, burners, compressors
  • Working knowledge of electrical/instrumentation maintenance and repair (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety guidelines, and other work-related materials
  • Experience processing work orders, purchase orders, and inventory documentation (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Excel/Word, maintenance software, etc.)
  • Basic Mathematical skills
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to work on your feet in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
  • Flexibility to work alternate shifts/hours as needed to support production schedules
