EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION WORKER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Works in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with established safety and OSHA requirements
• Follow all safety standards; wears necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas
• Operates a company motor vehicle to travel to and from job sites
• Drives commercial equipment to job site whether planned or in response to an emergency
• Operates company equipment such as excavator, backhoe, skid loader, telehandler, mini-excavator, forklift, scissor lift, etc.
• Provides care and light maintenance of tools and equipment to maintain their proper operation
• Operate hand tools and various sharp tools while on job location
• Performs various hands-on work listed below with the Industrial Construction team along with any other duties assigned :
• Insulated Metal Panels and Trim Installation
• Caulking, Sealants, and Epoxies
• Industrial Doors and Window Installation
• Dock Equipment Installation
• Cold Storage Construction
• Pallet Racking, Modular Offices and Manufacturing Equipment Installation
• Concrete Form Construction
• Pressure washing
• Dry / wet vacuuming truck operation support
• Metal and Wood Framing
• Acoustical Ceiling Installation
• Wastewater Treatment and Industrial Construction.

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION WORKER POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS :

• Full-time position
• Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holidays
• Overnight travel required up to 70%; travel via company vehicle
• On-call availability occasionally on a rotating schedule
• Ability to work in a team setting

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION WORKER REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• A valid driver’s license (for insurability purposes) with ability to obtain Class E within first 30 days
• Three (3) years of heavy equipment operation experience
• Has ability to read, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions and schedules
• Effectively communicates with and gives respect to co-workers, clients, supervisors, and vendors
• Can be on time, flexible, adaptable, and professional.

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION WORKER PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• Class B or Class A CDL strongly preferred : higher pay will be discussed if applicable
• In-House CDL Program will help further your career : receive additional endorsements and certifications as well as have restrictions removed
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Three (3) years of general labor or construction experience preferred

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION WORKER WORK ENVIRONMENT :

EWI's Industrial Services team works in a variety of industrial plants and settings. We encounter dust, oils, various commodities such as grain and fertilizer, in varying weather / temperature conditions.

Employee must follow all safety standards and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

This employee is required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance;

stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Must be able to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds.
