Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Construction Superintendent for a job in the Nashville, TN area. It will be a project in the federal domain. We are looking for construction management professional with at least 5 years of construction management experience who is passionate about the quality of the work being performed, an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing, good computer skills and is self-directed.
In addition, we are looking for someone who can fulfill the following criteria:
- Develops, monitors, and executes the most efficient means, methods, and techniques of performing work in coordination with the internal project management team which consists of a Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager
- Develops and maintains harmonious relations with owner representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and various jurisdictional inspectors
- Familiarity with all trades associated with commercial construction including but not limited to site work, scaling, fall protection, brush and rock removal and rappelling operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a clean and well-organized construction project
- Understands and has the relative experience to produce high quality construction work that is completed within the contractual time allotted for that work
- Coordinates field activities of subcontractors and suppliers and enforces safety policies and procedures for everyone on the worksite
- Produces accurate project documentation to include two week look ahead schedules, as-built drawings, and daily construction reports
- Oversee daily operations to ensure quality work.
- Perform scheduling of equipment, material and manpower to complete the project.
- Complete regular, standardized reports detailing project safety status and report to the Project Manager as well as any designee.
- Must be technologically capable of handling diverse software packages for customer reporting.
- Must be a good communicator and team oriented.
- Must have an OSHA 30-hour card
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in asphalt and concrete work in paving and curbing construction superintendent projects
- Must be knowledgeable in scaling and brush removal operations
