Job Description Do you have a passion for building software solutions that have a direct impact on a critical, worldwide industry? Would you like to play an essential role in improving the global food chain while protecting the data that drives key decision making each day? As a member of the EnviroLogix Software Team, you will develop and maintain the cloud-based data management system (TotalHubTM), which empowers agricultural markets to leverage the full value of their field- and lab-generated biochemical testing data. In this position you will own the development and maintenance of TotalHubTM, including interfacing with customers on concept design, building cutting-edge features, and enforcing software and security robustness for end users. Our team is growing, and in this role you will also collaborate with two other development teams: one focused on native software embedded onto our fleet of testing devices in the field, and another developing the TotalHubTM front-end user experience. This is a continuing growth position for an individual in the early to middle of a career path in science & technology with opportunities to explore and deepen enterprise-level skills on a wide variety of systems. This position, which is based at EnviroLogix headquarters in Portland, ME. Responsibilities Include: Develop TotalHubTM AWS server-side environment to support strong data privacy and security policy Create and maintain development documentation to preserve knowledge of software product lifecycle Participate in code review to support and improve robustness of frontend development projects Engineering & maintenance of TotalHubTM server-side dependencies to support security Investigation and debugging of TotalHubTM server errors reported by internal/external customers Take ownership of communication including consistent follow-up with customers and stakeholders Take ownership of emerging technology as a subject matter expert in Amazon Cloud Computing Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including Kaizen and daily EBOS Participate in and eventually lead advisory meetings with internal and external customers Occasionally plan or execute smaller single resource software development work for R&D Knowledge/Skills Required: Candidate must be a U.S. Resident Proficiency in AWS, including CloudWatch, CloudFront, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, and AWS Lambda Proficiency in Elixir programming language and Phoenix framework Proficiency in React programming language, HTML, and GraphQL Proficiency in Java/JS Strong understanding of Jira and agile software development best practices Strong understanding of DevOps including AWS CDK, CircleCI, and Docker Strong investigative skills to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues Customer service focus with ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and product managers Interpersonal communication skill (verbal and written) with individuals and/or group settings Self-driven learner who actively seeks to develop technical skills and proficiencies Keen attention to detail with ability to engineer and develop solutions to complex problems Experience with MSOffice and Collaboration Tools is preferred Experience with mobile app development (Android / iOS) desirable but not required Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or related field Minimum 2-3 years experience developing and supporting cloud-based app(s) in production environment SCRUM Training and/or Software Proficiency Certifications preferred but not required EnviroLogix is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
