The Field Service Technician will work on various types of process equipment piping and controls. With minimal supervision, the incumbent will repair, test, adjust or install mechanical equipment, such as pumps, blowers, compressors, piping systems, gauges and various types of process equipment commonly used in the water and air pollution control industry

The Role

• Repair or replacement of malfunctioning or worn mechanical components.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Diagnose and repair faulty pumps and equipment.
• Pipe fitting and assemble, especially, but not limited to PVC.
• With supervision, install or replace meters, regulators, or related measuring or control devices.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
• Be available for “On Call” duties after hours and travel within the state and other states.
• Maintain effective working relations with customers, personnel, other client contacts and Envirogen staff.
• Must be able to accomplish multiple tasks and respond quickly and effectively to changes and priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook.

About you

• Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. This includes observing and implementing safe practices and procedures, performing preventative and corrective maintenance duties.
• Communication- ability to clearly articulate information to management and client contacts in verbal and written form.
• Problem Solving- required evaluating and reporting inoperable equipment to supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.80 - $32.37 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
