JOB SUMMARY:

The Personal Care Worker provides personal care and home making services under the direction of a qualified agency personnel within the guidelines of company policies and procedures. The Personal Care Worker is assigned to specific clients with assistance from the Agency and performs services for clients as is necessary to maintain their personal comfort and a safe home environment.

QUALIFICATIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Personal care and homecare experience (Preferred)
  • Successful completion of a general training program, skills test, competency evaluation or the equivalent documentation
  • Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, good driving record
  • CPR certification (Not Required)
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to safely lift at least 50 pounds
  • Self-motivated and flexible
  • Possess decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Maintains confidentiality in all areas
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Good documentation and computer skills
  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Ability to participate in physical activity
  • Ability to work for extended period while standing and being involved in physical activity

WORKING CONDITIONS

General office, extended care facility, client home settings, exposure to infectious diseases, travel by automobile.
