We take a comprehensive look at our client's energy usage to identify savings and renewable solution opportunities. We manage the entire process from concept through engineering through installation and provide ongoing O&M support.

The Site Supervisor (Superintendent/Foreman) is responsible for overseeing and effectively managing on-site activities of the project(s) assigned. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience, and confidence to engage professionally with design engineers, consultants, and customers while successfully directing the sub-contractors and other construction-related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget.

This role requires travel to job sites throughout primarily, but not limited to, Indiana and less often Northern Illinois.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
  • Participate in site assessments and preparation activities, including surveying, measuring, and layout.
  • Read and interpret installation plans and construction documents.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, contractors, vendors, and team members to provide updates on project status and address any issues or concerns.
  • Cultivate high standards of organization, safety, and regulatory compliance at all project sites.
  • Manage schedule for equipment, materials, and subcontractors to effectively utilize all resources and to maximize production and minimize costs.
  • Assist Project Manager with project scope, schedule, and budget, while providing timely updates on project progress.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked.
  • Oversee all aspects of the solar installation process, from site mobilization, staging, and equipment setup to equipment installation, electrical wiring, testing & commissioning, and demobilization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; mechanical, electrical, or related technical degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience managing jobsites utilizing multiple trades in commercial construction.
  • 2 years of previous commercial solar and storage installation experience on roof/ground-mounted systems preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
  • Familiarity with both AC and DC systems, including inverters, switchgear, transformers, batteries, power meters, computer monitoring systems, associated sensors, PV modules, and PV arrays preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including but not limited to standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment; working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be required to satisfy requirements imposed by specific projects, customers, or company needs including to be vaccinated for the flu and/or Covid-19, and subject to all applicable laws.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.

Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for employer-based sponsorship currently or in the future.

Pre-hire requirements include a drug test, a driving report, evidence of insurability and a background check.
