Entrust Homecare Solutions is Hiring a Caregiver Near Carmel, IN

Job Title: Caregiver

Support Staff/Direct Care and Relief Staff are responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment that fosters growth and rehabilitation and facilitates the development of mutual aid/self-help skills among individuals. Staff’s primary role is to provide the appropriate support tailored to the needs and desires of each individual to enable each to live as independently as possible.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, special needs, elderly
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
  • Monitor and document individual's progress and behavior changes
  • Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
  • Teach and/or support individuals in utilizing public transportation. Transport individuals to appropriate appointments only when necessary (i.e. person requires assistance at appointment).
  • Perform daily record keeping (i.e. data collection, daily logs). Exchange information with the next shift and/or with support staff.
  • Teach and be supportive of basic nutrition. Assist individuals to utilize community resources from nutritional counseling.
  • Teach relationship building skills.
  • Teach community integration; assist individuals in joining community organizations of their choice.
  • Teach problem solving skills/resolving conflicts.

Requirements:
Support Staff play a critical role in the overall success of Entrust Homecare As “natural role models”, staff must have the following personal qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation to transport clients to essential arrangements.
  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance
  • Negative Result TB Test
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications
