UI/UX Designer
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
· Strong experience in the development of artefacts such as sketches, prototypes, high-fidelity mock-ups, motion design, and project documentation
· Proficient in a variety of design and prototyping tools — Sketch, Miro, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, or others
· Knowledge of Section 508 and W3C WCAG 2.0 guidelines
· Experience working with teams embracing Agile DevSecOps principles
· Strong skills with User Centered Design (UCD) methods
· Able to work with a balanced team approach sharing context and decisions
· Able to work with the Product Manager (PM) to iterate on the backlog
· Flexible with dynamic changes to the product
· Excellent management, communication, and presentation skills
· Experience collaborating with a team of programmers with a varying of skillsets
· Experience working in a rapid and interactive development environment
· UI Design, UX Design, User Experience Analyst, or Customer-Centered Design Certification
DUTIES/ROLE:
· Gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and programmers
· Provide advice to the PM and PO on backlog prioritization
· Create user stories, personas and storyboards
· Determine information architecture and create sitemaps
· Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
· Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
· Build page navigation buttons and search fields
· Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
· Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
· Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
· Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
· Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
· Conduct usability testing
· Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
· Develop task flows and wireframes based on user needs
· Create supporting artwork for Minimum Viable Products
· Create user training artefacts (including short video)
