Specifically, it offers household, property, and specialty asset services. Position Overview As a Landscaper, you play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty and sustainability of various outdoor spaces. Your responsibilities span a wide range, including turf grass, native grass, shrub care, weed mitigation, fertilizing, maintaining perimeter fences, trees, walkways, outdoor living areas, driveways, ponds, and seasonal debris cleanup. As an integral member of our family services team, you'll thrive in our highly collaborative environment, supporting a cross-functional organizational structure. Our dynamic work culture values risk-taking, accountability, dedication, prioritizing others, and openness to new approaches. Success is measured by the consistent level of service provided through collective contributions with a servant mindset. Key Responsibilities Landscape Design and Installation: - Develop and implement comprehensive schedules for seasonal maintenance. - Designed and installed new landscaped areas and hardscapes. - Select suitable plants, trees, and seeds based on aesthetics, climate, and environmental factors. Garden Care and Maintenance: - Implement integrated fertility, pest, and disease management methods using organic processes and products. - Monitor and enhance soil health through amendments, composting, and mulching. - Maintain detailed records of plant care activities, utilizing photos, notes, and maps. - Address plant diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies promptly. - Execute timely replacements for damaged or dead plants. - Regularly inspect and clean outdoor spaces, including hardscapes, pathways, patios, and seating areas. - Clear leaves, snow, and debris to maintain a neat environment. - Manage the maintenance of tools and equipment. Sustainable Water and Property Management: - Oversee water consumption and address leaks and repairs promptly. - Establish efficient watering schedules according to seasonal needs for water conservation. - Advocate for sustainable, regenerative land management practices. - Prioritize proper composting or recycling of organic matter. - Maintain open communication with the Principals, aligning with their needs, core values, and creative landscaping ideas. - Work collaboratively with the team to achieve property goals. - Contribute actively to staff meetings and participate in property strategic/design planning. - Maintain meticulous records of financial expenditures and input them into accounting software. Flexibility for additional responsibilities as needed. Qualifications - 3-5 years of landscaping experience, preferably with knowledge of organic plant management and native plant species. - Education in Horticulture, Arboriculture, or related fields; certifications are a plus. - Ability to work independently, eager to learn, and accept responsibility. - Strong time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work in all weather conditions, lift 50 lbs., and be active for extended periods. - Availability for flexible work hours, including weekends and early mornings/evenings. - Polite, flexible, self-motivated, and a strong team player. - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. - Effective communication skills and professionalism. - Comfortable working in a family environment with children and pets. - Reliable transportation.
