We are currently looking for an accomplished VISI Stamping Die Designer to join our Team and help build the future of our trade in an innovative environment, heavily focused on Teamwork!

In this role the Die Designer is responsible for developing timely and precise design plans for line, progressive and transfer dies according to blueprints or cad data of product, knowledge of press characteristics and process limitations.

Primary responsibilities:

• The Designer reviews received data.
• Critical up-front time must be spent processing the progression and formation of the die, so that the optimum strip or flow chart can be created.
• Designer creates and develops designs for Line, Transfer or Progressive dies utilizing 3D software.
• Designer is responsible to know customer and Enterprise standards
• In the design process, must take material, types of construction, machine ability etc. into account to always provide the most efficient and cost-effective tool.
• Responsible for working closely with the simulation specialist to bring about the best design.
• Responsible for addressing engineering changes and corrections from the shop floor as assigned.
• Responsible to meet timeline milestones.
• Participates in Kick Off Meetings, Design Reviews and Post-Mortems.

Quality Candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:

• 4 years’ experience as a Tool and Die Designer, working with Progressive and Transfer Dies.
• Experience with Visi software.
• Proven ability to work well in a Team environment.
• High level of self-motivation and problem-solving skills.
• An excellent work record, including safety and attendance.
