We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Inside Sales Technical Content Writer who will primarily be responsible for developing written content for:
  • Project Proposals
  • Scope of Work
  • Public procurement responses
  • Completed Project Descriptions
  • Sales and Marketing documentation
Other tasks, depending on individual interests and skills may include:
  • Perform Market Research
  • Hardware and Software Procurement
  • Lead identification, qualification, and outreach
  • Developing sales tools (in excel, VBA, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Data analysis
Our environment is fast paced, highly collaborative, and is constantly offering new challenges. Every employee is held accountable for pitching in, which often includes working with departments outside their area of expertise. Applicants should expect that the Inside Sales Associate could also be called upon to complete special projects for the marketing, administrative, or engineering departments.
This is a mid/entry level position with room to grow. Enterprise Automation has experienced sustained and moderate growth over the past 10 years and after being acquired by Tetra Tech, a multinational $8B organization in 2021, we foresee this growth continuing or accelerating. To support the additional engineering staff, we are building our sales department in a very deliberate manner and hope to find a dedicated, long-term addition to our team to grow with us. We can and will tailor your role and future role to fit your specific interests and skillsets.
Responsibilities
  • This is primarily a technical writing job
  • Create compelling and accurate written proposals that describe project work and client value
  • Manage 3-10 active proposals in process at a time
  • Generate templates, tools and reusable content for more efficient generation of responses to client requests for proposal
  • Create sales related marketing materials
  • Help build and develop our growing sales department
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field is preferred
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Can type 60 WPM
  • Desire to think creatively and tell a compelling story
  • Highly organized
  • Self-motivated and driven by excellence
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Exposure to construction management, public bidding processes, and industrial projects is recommended
  • Technical or sales experience in industries such as water/waste-water, chemical, life sciences, and manufacturing is recommended
  • Automation Distributor inside or outside sales experience
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and/or SCADA platforms
  • Experience using a CRM system for sales/marketing tracking
  • Proficient in optimizing usage of software tools
  • Word, Excel, VBA scripting, etc.
  • Comfortable making phone calls and doing client outreach
  • Both cold and warm leads
  • Thrives in a collaborative team setting
Newly hired employees will be required to work in office for the first 12 months of employment.
