Position Summary:

The Administrative Sales Support / Commercial Specialist role is an Inside Sales position supporting the commercial team (primarily Outside Sales), working directly with Account Managers and Project Managers to draft proposals, support vendor qualification, and manage all commercial documentation for quality and consistency. This full-time position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

This role is on-site at our Indianapolis, Indiana corporate location.

Responsibilities:

  • Build proposals for all commercial opportunities in assigned regions.
  • Manage proposal timelines and due dates to assure zero missed deadlines.
  • Manage and document all proposal activity in quote log.
  • Manage and store all proposal documentation and requests in quote folder.
  • Assist Account Managers in the review of pricing and proposal formats to ensure accuracy.
  • Manages all commercial documentation used in the proposal process including pricing calculators, quote templates, service appendices, customer reference lists, and associated marketing material.
  • Collect, build, organize, and improve all proposal support documentation.
  • Work with and across all organizations in the review and construction of proposals in accordance to proposal rules and guidelines.
  • Report proposal metrics as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Operational Excellence: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, consistently working towards the achievement of individual and team goals.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 years’ experience in a commercial organization and/or an inside sales role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Very detail oriented with a strong focus on quality in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Word and Excel
