ENT for Children, PA is Hiring a Pediatric Audiologist Near Coppell, TX

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer and interpret audiological assessments including otoscopy, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, otoacoustic emission testing, pure tone testing, bone conduction testing, and speech perception testing for children from birth to 18 years of age
  • Perform hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and follow up using digital hearing aids
  • Perform bone conduction system evaluations, fittings and follow up
  • Complete earmold impressions and molds, order hearing instruments and fitting devices
  • Collaborate with Otolaryngologists and Auditory Verbal Therapists to ensure best outcomes for patient success
  • Perform initial stimulation of cochlear implant systems, follow up MAPping appointments and troubleshooting appointments
  • Collaborate with multiple school districts regarding cochlear implants, FM systems, and educational placement for children with hearing loss
  • Administer and interpret clinic and sedated Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing
  • Counsel patients and families on hearing loss concerns and candidacy for personal amplification devices.
  • Maintain documentation and electronic health records
  • Establish rapport, gather history and report results for all audiological visits
  • Work in a team oriented, patient focused environment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Audiology
  • Current active Texas license or eligibility for licensing
  • Current ASHA certification or American Board of Audiology certification
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience, preferred
  • Experience with testing and fitting children, preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
