The original company was established in 1969 by the Richardson Family. Our group of companies continues to create new services and has expanded to other locations along the Gulf Coast. The goal is to keep up with current demands and create a complete door-to-door package for our customers.

We have an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator. Under the direction of the Supervisors, you will be responsible for moving finished products from the production floor to trucks or railcars, pulling products to prepare for shipping, loading, and unloading delivery trucks, and documenting all inventory that you handled. You must follow all company and governmental safety guidelines at all times while in the warehouse. We are looking for someone with pipe lift experience.

Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities:

• Move inventory and materials across facilities.
• Stack and organize large bulk items.
• Pull inventory to prepare for shipment.
• Load and unload trucks
• Update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks.
• Note and request any damaged materials or replacements needed.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations.
• Complete daily forklift inspection report

Forklift:

Forklift Operator Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent (preferred)
• Current forklift license and certification
• Valid, or ability to obtain TWIC card
• Operating machine in vessel, barge, and terminal or dock.
• Experience operating industrial forklifts (30k pounds )
• Experience handling pipe (20’, 40’ and 60 ‘)
• At least 2 years of verifiable experience working with forklifts, especially pipe
• Able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb repeatedly during the course of the shift
• Can lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license
• Able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Experience in safe handling and transfer of all varieties of pipe, rebar coils, and other steel products
• Ability to work flexible schedules, extended hours, dayshift, nightshift, overtime, weekends, holidays, etc.
• Properly loading/unloading of trailers and stacking loads in the yard.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The work environment involves hazards, risks, or discomforts typical of working around with or around machinery with exposed moving parts, arrant chemicals, heavy equipment, extreme heights, or abusive or hostile clientele and patients. Exposure to disagreeable weather conditions and extreme levels of temperature, ventilation, lighting, and sound is normal. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
