Mold Setter

In this role, you will assist engineering in preparation of set-up procedures for new production jobs. Plan and schedule daily activities to ensure continuous production. Ensure all required molds, material an auxiliary equipment are available. Set molds into injection molding machines.

Role and Responsibilities

· Set up molds in injection molding machines

· Assembly and install barrels, screws, nozzles and tips to injection molding machines, ensuring proper sequencing of the cores

· Perform testing and dry runs to adjust and check proper operation or potential leaks

· Check safety equipment such as safety bars, switches and alarms to ensure correct operation.

· Tear down machines, check for damage to mold, remove water lines and clamps.

· Perform general maintenance and cleaning of molding machines. Repair hoses, guards, and other components.

· Order mold set-up supplies

· Support continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications / Competencies

· Previous work-related skill required (3-5 yrs. Experience in mechanical and/or maintenance work performed in a manufacturing environment involving large industrial injection molding machines.)

· Read and comprehend blueprints

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and use judgment to draw valid conclusions.

· Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to exert 25-60 pounds of force frequently and over 60 pounds of force occasionally

Pay: $22.78 - $32.22 per hour
