Job Description

EBAD seeks a Test Technician, reporting to the Manager of Test Services. Thisposition is located in Simsbury, CT.

Responsibilities

The Test Technician position supports environmental testing of development and production products. Duties include:

• Test evaluation, set-up and performance of vibration, shock and climatic testing
• Perform testing in accordance with written procedures, MIL-STD's and industry specifications
• Equipment preventive maintenance and calibration
• Test data reporting to support customer requirements
• Equipment troubleshooting and repair
• Occasional heavy lifting, travel and overtime may be required

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma (Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
• Ability to work independently and interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving and communication skills are required
• Must be able to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications
• Knowledge of explosive materials and/or ordnance devices is beneficial
• Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred

The ideal candidate will have experience in a test lab environment with exposure to a number of the following areas:

• Acceleration

• Accelerometers
• Charge Amplifiers & Signal Conditioners
• Thermocouples

Desired Skills:

• Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency
• Vibration Research Control Software
• Thermotron 8200 Programming
