Job Description

EBAD seeks a highly motivated individual for the Production Planner/Scheduler reporting directly to the Machine Shop Manager. This position is located in Moorpark, CA.

Responsibilities:

The Production Planner/Scheduler contributes to the successful build and delivery of product to both internal and external customers. The Production Planner/Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and/or performing tasks associated with operations execution starting with customer order entry through shipment. The Planner/Scheduler oversees and coordinates all inventory movement associated with modified-standard and repeat production product manufacture.

  • Developing Machine Shop Production Schedules: Create and maintain detailed production schedules, considering project milestones, deadlines, and resource availability.

  • Resource Allocation: Optimize the allocation of resources, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient use and distribution.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Act as a central point of contact for coordinating schedules and activities across different departments. Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in production timelines. Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and address issues proactively. Elevate potential risks to leadership before they impact customer deliveries.

  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics and historical performance data to make informed decisions. Analyze trends to continuously improve scheduling processes.

  • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and seek opportunities for process improvement to enhance overall equipment efficiency.

  • Project Coordination: Ensure that project timelines align with customer commitments. Coordinate with Leadership, team leads, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth production execution.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and relevant communication records.

  • Meeting Deadlines: Monitor production timelines closely to ensure that deadlines are met. Identify and address potential delays promptly.

  • Customer Communication: Keep customers informed about production timelines and any adjustments to schedules. Manage customer expectations regarding product delivery.

  • Technology Utilization: Utilize project management software (ERP) and tools to facilitate efficient scheduling, collaboration, and reporting.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on scheduling tools and methodologies.

  • Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts or issues related to scheduling and resource allocation. Collaborate with relevant parties to find resolution.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling efficiency and project delivery timelines.

Requirements:

  • 5 years in Materials Management, Logistics, Planning and Scheduling

  • High school diploma required, Bachelors preferred

  • Ability to view at a high level the overall potential risks and impacts within the organization based on material planning decisions

  • Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and assignments.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels and to cross-functional groups.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management

  • Understanding of configuration management, supply chain, material control, manufacturing, and shipping processes

  • Experience with Import/Export requirements and international shipping

  • Good working knowledge of computer applications such as ERP/MRP, Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Ability to interpret and understand work orders as well as mechanical, technical, and electronic drawings, manuals, and other related documentation

  • Ability to motivate people, particularly in supply chain and materials management environment

  • LEAN Manufacturing concept implementation experience preferred

Compensation:

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
