EnSafe is accepting applications for an Operations and Maintenance Technician based out of EnSafe’s Long Beach office.

What We Are Looking For

As an Operations and Maintenance Technician, you will oversee all aspects of environmental remediation and process engineering projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. 

What You Will Be Doing: 

• Performing operation, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment for remediation systems and other systems/equipment.
• Troubleshooting equipment, pumps, and live control panels. 
• Documenting and monitoring of equipment performance, operation, and maintenance.
• Working independently on projects and providing progress reports to supervisors.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Performing tailgate safety meetings, job hazard analyses, energy control/LOTO procedures, and complying with client-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent to include technical degree or certificate. 

• 5-10 years of experience working on equipment and machinery and experience using basic hand and power tools including experience with remediation system equipment (pumps, electrical systems, oil water separators, plumbing, etc.).
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training, OSHA 30-hour Construction, LOTO, electrical safety, and arc flash training are a plus, but not required.

• Must have mechanical, electrical, and HMI/PLC control troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing skills.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and good documentation skills.
• Capable of working independently with little to no supervision and in a team environment.
• Computer skills such as HMI/PLC programming, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations on construction and client sites.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more on a routine basis.
• Ability to climb ladders on a routine basis, wear appropriate personal protective equipment including a respirator when applicable, and work for long periods standing, kneeling, walking on uneven surfaces, or under exposure to the elements.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
• Requires U.S. citizenship to work on federal contracted sites.
