EnSafe is currently accepting applications for an Environmental Engineering Assistant with experience in the environmental consulting field to lead our team in our Charleston, SC office.

What we are looking for

An Environmental Engineering Assistant who is driven to contribute to a wide range of projects from site investigations to regulatory compliance tasks, and remedial implementation. Engineering Assistant Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, direct, and/or implement a variety of environmental remediation projects. 
• Projects may include stormwater, water, wastewater, solid and hazardous waste management, and pollution prevention.
• Apply knowledge using FDEP, RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, and other environmental legislation.
• Interact with client and project teams in developing the scope of services and communicating project progress.
• Assist and prepare technical reports for ESA's, Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects
• Be a part of a team overseeing work on construction sites, implementing scope of work, and safety on job sites

 Engineering Assistant Qualifications:

• We require a BS in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering,
• 1-3 years of experience in environmental remediation projects.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
• 1 year of groundwater, soil, air vapors, and wastewater sampling experience 
• HAZWOPER training and certification
• Overnight travel will be required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain a valid drivers license,
