Job Title/High Level Position Summary:

As a Supervisor at ENOVIS Surgical you will lead a team of operators responsible for the manufacture orthopedic products. The supervisor will have ownership and responsibility for day to day activities in their production area. Ensuring that daily production schedules are met, production personnel work assignments are communicated, and the production process and documentation are compliant with Regulatory requirements and Enovis' Quality Policy.

The role will require you to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, evaluation criteria for obtaining results, and demonstrate technical maturity and complex decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First line manufacturing leader for a small group of mostly non-exempt workers in area. Monitors daily operations and provides work direction and allocation of resources. Establishes group guidelines, procedures, and polices. Requires full knowledge of the functional area.
  • Responsible for meeting assigned production, quality and cost goals optimizing equipment efficiency, and material supplies.
  • Develops and trains staff on various processes and procedures. Ensures department or area is compliant with all process, procedures, standards, and regulations.
  • Perform administrative duties such as regular employee meetings, timekeeping/attendance/vacation requests, performance appraisals (input with manager), disciplinary actions, interviewing, rewards & recognition, training and development.
  • Assists with manufacturing change initiatives and leads continuous improvement activities. Spends 50% or more of their time on management activities and moderately challenging projects that require the execution of discretion and independent judgment within defined procedures and policies. Typically reports into a more senior manager.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years related experience in manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years supervisory experience; Medical device experience preferred or other highly regulated industry.
  • Ability to drive change; approaches new strategies and assignments with a "can-do" attitude; adapts quickly.
  • Approaches challenges with focused curiosity and a continuous learner mindset
  • Experience using Lean Methodology, leading Kaizen events and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Strong understanding of Lean concepts such as TWI and Daily Management.
  • Experience aggregating, analyzing, and charting data to drive decision making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work under general direction, high level of confidentiality, and collaboration with the team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills include persuasion, interpretation, discretion, and being an approachable, patient, and active listener.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills relating to diversified, moderately complex issues.
  • Quality assurance experience and knowledge of GMP required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • Previous experience in a regulated environment, Aerospace, Medical Technology, Pharmaceutical
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification
  • Previous experience with heat treatment and additive manufacturing methods.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
