Job Duties / Responsibilities: |
1. Provide quality tech support across all processes to all areas within Interplex as well as supporting activities to the Quality Engineering team. |
2. Conduct a gap analysis on existing control plans in Cut & Pack, Stamping, Molding, Assembly, Automation, Plating, Incoming inspection departments. |
3. Summarize gap analysis findings by creating a master list that outlines missing control plans, control plans that require revision and control plans that are in existence and consistent with the current process on the floor. Present overall findings to Quality Manager. |
4. Develop control plans for programs that do not have them. |
5. Revise control plans that require revision. |
6. Enter all control plans into the ERP system. |
7. Responsibilities include determining the proper sampling plans based on Component Specifications, Inspection Plans, or Customer supplied requirements. Develop measurement and calibrations strategies. Provide input for inspection methods and improvements related to the job. |
8. Responsible for the inspection of components, subassemblies, and finished products. |
9. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components, subassemblies, and products. |
10. Assist engineering in investigations of process related quality issues. |
11. Write Non-Conforming Reports when required and be familiar with the process of quarantining products that have been rejected. |
12. Provide samples and communication concerning quality to Production Management when required. |
13. Use statistical analysis to determine correct sampling plan/frequency to insure valid inspection plans and improvements. |
14. Completes accurate records (on paper and electronic data), These records include inspection reports, training records, equipment, continuous improvement initiatives, and corrective action reports. |
15. Develop or improve standard work to support both customer and supplier inspections including First Article Parts, understanding customer expectations, and using results reporting. |
16. Interface and coordinate with manufacturing and engineering to address / resolve quality issues and concerns relative to product quality. |
17. Interface with customers on quality issues related to stamped product. Champion 8D problem solving teams in resolving customer and/or internal quality related issues. |
18. Perform quality analytical techniques to track, analyze and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure they meet the company’s and customer’s quality standards. |
19. Document NCMR and Interface with raw material suppliers to resolve issues related to nonconformance of product and/or documentation. |
20. Member of Cut & Pack, Stamping, Molding, Assembly, Automation, Plating, Incoming inspection teams in the disposition of nonconforming or suspect product. Perform trend analysis on recurring issues and issues internal corrective actions as required. |
21. Assist in the training, development, and testing of QC inspectors in the operation and programming of the CMM, Keyence, OGP Smart scope and the application of GD&T and reporting analysis. |
22. Records inspection results and reports discrepancies to the Quality Assurance Manager. |
23. Assists the Quality Assurance Manager in the updating and printing of work instruction databases, calibrating of inspection tools, and filing of quality records. |
24. Follow Company policies and procedures as defined in the IEP Employee Manual. |
25. Follow all International Standards that apply to IEP’s certification and QMS. |
26. Follow Company Safety rules and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. |
27. Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance. |
28. Maintain excellent housekeeping and cleanliness of work area. |
29. Perform duties outside of normal work hours as required. |
30. Other duties as assigned. |
