Position Description:
The Operation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shop floor employees that perform a variety of aerospace manufacturing processes. The Operation Supervisor role works very closely with the production planning group to effectively communicate daily priorities to the floor.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervise and motivate a team of workers.
- Troubleshoot problems with parts and equipment.
- Ensure health and safety guidelines are always followed.
- Act with integrity and ethical behavior.
- Oversee production methods and look for improvements.
- Coordinate several products simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to read a blueprint and operation sheets.
- Excellent organizational skills to be able to monitor the production process.
- Ability to act decisively and solve personnel or equipment related problems.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to meet deadlines.
- A results-driven approach
- Experience in a machine shop environment, preferably with leadership experience.
- Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
