The CFO provides strong functional leadership to the organization’s financial operations. Directs and oversees the financial activities not limited to including driving the organization’s financial planning, financial reporting, risk management, forecasting, and budget preparation all to improve the organization’s fiscal stability.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Management

• Manage the organization’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and auditing.
• Ensures that the financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization’s short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, GAAP accounting principles, and standards.

Strategic Planning

• Develop and implement financial strategies including financial planning, forecasting, risk management, and investment strategies.

Financial Reporting:

• Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the COO, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.

Compliance

• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. This includes tax planning and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Leadership

• Direct the Finance and Accounting team and ensure their ongoing professional development and training.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar field, M.B.A or CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years in a financial leadership role
• Proven track record of success in senior financial managerial roles.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis risk management and forecasting methods.
• Proficient in MS office and financial management software.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
