About the position expectations:

• Hands-on front-end and back-end development in WordPress and WP Engine across multiple clients.
• Overseeing Quality Control of your work and ensuring it’s ready for reviews and launches
• Meet with key client stakeholders to gather requirements, plan and strategize, and develop timelines
• Using a combination of open-source and commercial tools and technologies – design, develop, test, integrate, implement, debug, and maintain innovative applications and solutions using agile methodology
• Addresses and troubleshoot problems related to applications and back-end development as needed
• Participates in the development of user manuals, standard operating procedures, and products

Your experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of focus
• A minimum of 5 Years of Web Development and Programming Experience with the range of application layers: business logic, database setup and access, UI programming
• Strong Understanding of web development fundamentals: HTML, HTTP, JavaScript, CSS
• Experience with developing sites using PHP and WP Engine
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3
• Production experience with Shopify
• Cloud hosting knowledge
• Broad knowledge of capabilities across different browsers and devices
• Strong communication skills: Our developers must have a desire to collaborate across multiple teams including Strategy, SEO, Analytics, Paid Media, Creative, and Copy to help bring our programs alive with technology
• Experience working in collaboration with account and project managers
• Experience with setting up websites, redirects, and virtual hosts under Apache and NGINX
• Understanding of database design, SQL code with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle
• Proficiency with distributed version control, strategies for branching and merging, tagging, reverting, handling merge conflicts, and experience with github or bitbucket
• Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote working environment
• You must have a reliable home-office or remote working space available for focused work and video conferencing
• Previous remote working experience preferred
